Like many other architectural designs in Miami, which need to cater to the tropical climate, using a Brise-Soleil as the facade is a well proven solution.

The late Morris Lapidus was one of the pioneers of this design element in Florida and we can still see a lot of them all over Miami Beach's Modern buildings and in Biscaynes MiMo district. 

Many have followed like Touzet Studio for the recently opened Nike in Lincoln Road
