A significant development is in progress in Miami's hospitality scene as SLS Brickell undergoes a rebranding and new management by Aimbrigde Hospitality.
In October 2023, the Al Thani family, members of Qatar's ruling royal family, finalized the sale of SLS Brickell for $53.5 million. With 124 keys, this sale underscored the property's value and appeal in Miami's competitive market, averaging approximately $431,451 per key.
With new ownership comes a fresh vision, leading to a rebranding transformation. Say sayonara to SLS Brickell and welcome Dua Miami Brickell—an evolution set to redefine luxury hospitality in Brickell.
The hotel was developed alongside the condominium by The Related Group and Dakota Development in 2016. It first exchanged hands in 2019 for $43M. Now with this new sale, 1300 S Miami Ave. will embrace a new chapter in its history.
What does this mean for guests and visitors? The anticipation is palpable as we eagerly await what Dua Miami Brickell will bring to the neighborhood. One intriguing update is that Black Lion Investment Group, led by Robert Rivani, who acquired the restaurant space at SLS Brickell for $10,000,000 in 2023 his space, will now be home to Rosa Negra, adding a new flavor to Brickell's culinary scene.
