Miami Museum Park authorities are now passing notices around saying all dogs must be kept on a leash. They cannot play fetch in the esplanade or have a little bit of the joy from being unleashed. They are also passing around a picture of a man who's dog supposedly attacked another lady's dog, probably of proof that something actually happened.

On Tuesday, the Florida Department of Health released the preliminary text of proposed rule development. The release comes ahead of five public hearings schedule for early next month, giving Floridians a chance to weigh in on the agency’s rules and regulations governing the state’s medical marijuana program.
But the update appears to do little to establish new rules, instead creating a system that could bring new patients into the state’s existing medical pot program.

Local developers are putting up heavy resistance against a city of Miami effort to fund or place public art in private projects.
Last week, the Miami City Commission delayed a final vote on the measure, amid a chorus of opposition from local builders and trade groups claiming the legislation was unfair and required more tinkering.
“We ask you to refrain [from imposing] an art impact fee on privately financed projects at this time,” said Truly Burton, Builders Association of South Florida’s executive vice president. “We are not saying ‘no.’ We are saying ‘not yet.'”
