Plumeria plants (Plumeria sp), are also known as Lei flowers and Frangipani. Popular in Hawaii, South and Central America. The flowers are very fragrant, lively and colorful. In Yucatan they are called Flor de Mayo. I feel their fragrance is similar to Gardenias. But that is just my nose. In Feng Shui they are associated with love. In Polinesia, they are sometimes used a relationship status symbol: it they are worn in the right ear it means you are looking for a relationship, and if worn on the left ear it means you are taken.
